12th ANNUAL WEST ISLAND LAKERS / SIAN BRADWELL ALL STAR WEEKEND

In 2001, the West Island Lakers Basketball Association proudly became affiliated with the Sian Bradwell Fund. This Fund was established in 1990 by Sharon and Ken Bradwell following the loss of their daughter, Sian, to a rare form of cancer, at the young age of 17 months. 100% of the money raised from the All Star Weekend is donated to the Fund.

The Sian Bradwell Fund is administered by the Foundation of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. The intent of the Fund is to purchase medical equipment and other items deemed necessary for the better diagnosis and treatment of children with cancer. More information on the Sian Bradwell Fund can be found at www.sianbradwell.com

Funds are raised through canteen sales, raffles, auctions, and the collection of donations. We will be having our 12th annual West Island Lakers / Sian Bradwell ALL start weekend on January 28/29, 2012. The weekend ends with the extremely popular “CELEBRITY GAME” that attracts hundreds of spectators.

The West Island Lakers Basketball Association, through this event, has raised over $125,000.

If you or your company is interested in sponsoring the extremely popular event, please contact Mike Gaudin at mtgaudin@gmail.com. The Sian Bradwell Fund is a registered charity.

More details as to come, stay tuned, and thank you for your support!
